Manchester City are reported to be in Italy to talk over a mega bid for AC Milan ace Kaka.
Sky Sports News have reported that City officials have spent Tuesday in the Italian city and plan to hold preliminary talks for a player who would break the British transfer record if he moved to Eastlands.
However, earlier in the day, AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi played down speculation of a move to Manchester City.
The talismanic Brazilian has been linked with a switch to Eastlands ever since the Abu Dhabi United Group took control at City and immediately made bold exclamations with regards transfer policy.
City's sensational capture of Robinho under the nose of Chelsea proved Mark Hughes' side have the spending power to entice world class talent, but Berlusconi insists Kaka is not for sale.
"I know nothing about a Manchester City offer for Kaka," said Berlusconi.
"I think he's not transferable and given that is the case, he will stay at Milan."
In November the 26-year-old admitted he was flattered by City's reported interest, while at the same time accepting a Milan exit would be difficult.

Because he is being offered 75mill in wages...
city cant even get craig bellamy, kaka? well thats just a laughin-stock
Kaka is a millionaire and one of the best footballers in the world both facts why on earth would he want to go to wastelands to play for a club that has no tradition or history of being winners the only reason would be for money and he has plenty if Kaka has any ambition to be the best then he should stay in Milan and play with a club of great stature Man city do not have this and never will money will never change this you cannot buy passion and commitment it's priceless as Man City are beginning to realise they really are crass throwing money around like a drunken sailor on shore leave Man City are not even the best Club in the City of Manchester are they?
