Borussia Dortmund's new loan signing Kevin-Prince Boateng has revealed that he is "glad to have left" Spurs.

The midfielder agreed a loan move at the weekend which will take him to Dortmund for the rest of the season, with an option for a permanent move over the summer.

And the 21-year-old has said that he is "glad" to have left the north London side after a difficult 18-month stay at White Hart Lane.

"I am very happy to be at Dortmund and glad that I have left Spurs," Boateng told German newspaper Bild.

"I definitely wanted to go back to the Bundesliga.

"Three days ago my agent phoned me to prepare myself for a transfer, but a few hours later the deal seemed off.

"But then I got in touch with (chairman) Daniel Levy and requested a transfer. He agreed!

"I have made a lot of mistakes in my career, but I feel I have acquired maturity during my difficult spell at Spurs. I had more than enough time to think about doing better.

"Borussia is lying in sixth at the moment and still has every chance to go to Europe next season. I want to help them to reach that."

  8. Another reason why Spurs got rid of Damien Comolli. I agree with XS. The bottom line is,he just didn't cut the mustard and never looked like he was going to.
It seems Comolli said "Oh he looks good!...Buy him!!" to the first players he came across!!
