Championship - Kuqi considers Palace exit U-turn

Crystal Palace striker Shefki Kuqi could be set to stay at Selhurst Park despite Neil Warnock's earlier claim that he would be leaving the club.

The Eagles boss was quoted last month as saying the former Blackburn man would leave during the January transfer window or when his deal expires in the summer.

But Warnock now claims the club and player have held talks over extending the Finn's stay at Palace.

He told the Croydon Advertiser: "We've had a preliminary chat just to see if he would be interested in staying."
