Luton finally wiped out their 30-point deficit but had to settle for a point after throwing away a two-goal lead in the 2-2 draw at Chester.
Mick Harford's men went ahead in the 22nd minute after Kevin Gallen found Chris Martin inside the box, and the striker produced a superb turn to outwit two defenders before finishing left-footed.
Within five minutes the Hatters doubled their advantage as Lewis Emanuel hit a stunning free-kick from the edge of the box to give goalkeeper John Danby no chance.
Chester were given a lifeline when Michael Spillane was adjudged to have brought down Kevin Ellison inside the box in the 36th minute.
Ryan Lowe stepped up and made no mistake - firing the ball high into the net and sending Logan the wrong way for his 13th goal of the season.
And the comeback was complete in the 51st minute as Ellison bundled the ball in from close range after Kevin Robert's initial header from a corner had been stopped on the goal line.

The FA are Daleks and Luton is Dr.Who.........EXTERMINATE!......but we all know that the good doctor has to be in next weeks programme, so the Hatters scrape through by the skin of their teeth!
End of season party where a new rival will have to be selected from the league. Up the 'Orns
As a Toon army fan I and I'm sure other Geordies do wish the Hatters allthe best of luck in your fight for survival. Why can a club that has nostalgia and a place in English football folklore be punished so severely by the FA.Football will be the loser as other clubs will follow you.Lets just hope 2009 is a good year for you's and look forward to visiting Kenilworth road in the future again maybe in the top flight who knows;keep the faith-Geordie.
