Stockport boss Jim Gannon hailed the performance of teenage hat-trick hero Tommy Rowe after he inspired County to a 4-1 victory over Rotherham. The 18-year-old got his first in the ninth minute before striking again just after half-time and setting up County's third for Anthony Pilkington.
Rowe then completed his hat-trick when Rotherham failed to deal with a left-wing corner and he lashed the ball home.
"The lads have lifted my spirits with that performance," Gannon said.
"Tommy Rowe has everything. He is a supreme athlete with Premiership fitness and what an accomplished performance for an 18-year-old.
"Unfortunately he is with a second division team so maybe the England scouts will not come looking but I have told him he has a great future."
