Jones eyes stellar FA Cup display

Dave Jones wants a repeat of Cardiff's second-half performance in the draw at Coventry when his side host his former club Wolves in the FA Cup.City were sluggish in the first half at the Ricoh Arena but were much-improved after the break following a few 'harsh words' from Jones, who believes his side did enough to take all three points.

"That is how we must start the game on Saturday" said Jones. "In the second half we had three glorious chances and we are disappointed because we took the game to them and should have won.

"There were a few harsh words said at half-time and they responded. If I could spit feathers then I would have certainly been doing so at the break because the players did not get going.

"The first half was a scrap and a battle and we never got going again. Coventry were very much in our faces and we had to compete with that.

"We were well off the tempo and they came out at 100 miles an hour and we knew that we had to match that type of style in the second half."
