Money welcomes Saddlers break

Wed 13 Feb, 03:30 PM

Manager Richard Money has welcomed Walsall's forthcoming break by insisting his side could do with "recharging their batteries".The Saddlers do not have a game on Saturday as it is FA Cup fifth round weekend. Money's side will not be back in action until they travel to Swindon on February 23.

Speaking after the 1-0 defeat to Swansea, Money said: "We don't want to drop out of top six contention and will keep going, we have a bit of a break now so it is important we don't slip too far down the league.

"At least it gives us the chance to get some of our injured players back fit and that will be crucial for the latter end of the season. The players could do with recharging their batteries."

Of his side's loss at the Liberty Stadium, Money added: "We had a go but it wasn't to be. I was a bit disappointed with how we played in the final third.

"I just felt we weren't brave enough with the ball at times. We didn't get at them enough."
