Boss Mark Robins insists Rotherham's defending must improve after branding the 4-1 home defeat to Stockport the "worst performance all season".United have slipped off the automatic promotion pace after taking just one point from their last four matches.
Robins said: "We could not defend crosses all night. It was the worst performance we have had all season and Stockport taught us a lesson. We have to defend better than that, everyone had an off day.
"We got back in it at 1-1 and we were relatively happy to have turned things around. But the first thing we did in the second half was to miss a great chance and then they went straight down the other end and scored."
