Neuner prevails over Henkel in Maine
Magdalena Neuner of Germany clinched top spot in the women's 12.5km mass-start biathlon at the World Cup in Fort Kent.
The German recorded a time of 39:30.6 to clinch victory, with compatriot Andrea Henkel over 23 seconds back in second place.
Darya Domracheva of Belarus assumed third place, while Norway's Tora Berger came fourth in a fiercely-contested competition.
But Neuner was the victor, and the German held her composure to pip Henkel and prevail in Maine.
Henkel led Germany to a 1-2-3 in the women's 7.5-km sprint on Friday.
