Am glad Sharapova is not going to get to number 1
shes always present in all WTA tournaments that's why she earned more points in the ranking # 4 ( funny) .!
I am a great admirer of Maria Sharapova and there must be something lacking in her practices as she gives away an incredible number of unforced errors. She simply gives games to opponents. I know it is not really her style of play but she should exercise more control over her shots as against Wazniaki.
A player ranked 4th in the world who has never even made a Slam Semi in her career is a joke.
Notice the obvious changes within the top-10 players - Radwanska and Stosur progressed from 5 and 6 to 4 and 5 respecfully and Wozniacki is the only one that retogressed from 4 to 6.
who cares about rankings in modern tennis? modern tennis is all about winning what matters most, that is, a grand slam(s). you will never ever be forgotten if you win one. who remembers who won doha 2007, miami 2001 etc. an answer to this will involve a trip to the wikipedia or some seconds, if not, minutes scratch at the back of the head. but ask 'who won the women's or men's australian open or wimbledon's in 1999 or 2006?, and the answer will pop out in less than five seconds.
Position 30.......
where is kim?
