Elding: I'll fire Whites to glory

Thu 13 Mar, 05:15 PM

Anthony Elding has no doubts he can deliver the goals required to keep Leeds United in the League One play-off hunt. The former Stockport striker, who signed for the club for an undisclosed fee in January, scored his first goal in the midweek defeat to Cheltenham.

Elding told the club's official website: "I've come from a lower league and the gaffer is leading me in slowly, but I'm confident in my own ability and if I can do what I've done for my other clubs I'll score goals here."

Leeds lie in seventh place, two points adrift of the play-offs following Tuesday's shock defeat.

Elding added: "It's important we bounce back quickly and get it out of our system.

"There's 11 games left and it's important we get the points we need. It's important we go about our job professionally."
