Sheffield Wednesday striker Francis Jeffers has suffered another setback in his battle to recover from an ankle injury.The former Everton, Arsenal and Blackburn forward tweaked his troublesome ankle in his comeback match for the reserves in midweek and will undergo a scan to ascertain the full extent of the damage.
Jeffers has been restricted to just 12 appearances this season after initially damaging ankle ligaments in October.
The free summer signing from Blackburn then suffered a recurrence of the same injury after returning to action at the turn of the year.
The 27-year-old opened the scoring for the Owls' second string in a 2-0 win over York, but appears set for another spell on the sidelines.
