Saddlers lose Taundry appeal

Thu 13 Mar, 05:30 PM

Walsall have failed in their bid to get Richard Taundry's red card against Brighton and Hove Albion rescinded.Taundry, 19, was sent off in the 89th minute of the Saddlers' 2-1 home defeat to Brighton on Tuesday evening for allegedly stamping on Albion defender Adam El-Adb.

The appeal was heard on Thursday but the original decision was upheld so Taundry must now serve a three-match suspension.

The defender will miss Saturday's trip to Nottingham Forest, the away game at Leeds on March 22 and the visit of Crewe two days later.
