Bristol Rovers first-team coach Paul Trollope slammed his side after they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Northampton on Wednesday night. The FA Cup quarter-finalists led thanks to Sean Rigg's first goal of the season but the Cobblers levelled through Poul Hubertz's effort, leaving Trollope disappointed with their second-half showing.
He said: "The second half was the worst 45 minutes I can remember from us in a long time.
"There were far too many offsides and stupid free-kicks conceded. We are better than that.
"I don't enjoy giving the lads a rollicking, but it had to be done. We need to win our games in hand to challenge for the play-offs.
"It was always going to be tough after our FA Cup defeat by West Brom, but I thought we started well and that made the second half all the more disappointing."
