Left-back Joe Widdowson has returned to West Ham following his month-long loan spell at Rotherham.Widdowson, 19, made his third and final appearance for the League Two side in their 3-0 defeat at Bury on Tuesday evening.

"Joe has played a few games now. It was a good experience for him and I am sure he will come back better for it," West Ham academy director Tony Carr told the Premier League club's official website.

Meanwhile, young forward Tom Cahill has returned to Rotherham after his loan spell at Blue Square Premier side Altrincham.
