Cheltenham manager Keith Downing is confident his side can escape relegation from League One after they lost 2-1 at home to Walsall.Saddlers striker Tommy Mooney struck the opener from the penalty spot after keeper Shane Higgs had brought down Lee Holmes.
Anthony Gerrard then scored a header after he had been left unmarked from a Holmes corner but Paul Connor struck from six yards 16 minutes from time.
Downing said: "This league doesn't give you anything but if we perform like that in the remaining matches we will stay out of trouble.
"They have given me absolutely everything, it was just one minute of madness with the penalty and the free header which gave us a mountain to climb but we very nearly did it."
