Crewe manager Steve Holland praised goalscorer Tom Pope after he found the net in the 3-0 win at relegation rivals Yeovil.Nicky Maynard's brace and Pope's late goal gave the Alex three vital points to move them three points clear of the drop zone.

Playing Pope might have been something of a risk after a recent injury but Holland said: "He felt fine.

"He brought more out of his colleagues and I was delighted.

"I also thought Steven Schumacher played as well as I have seen him play for us."
