Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson found it hard to hide his disappointment after seeing his side draw 1-1 at Morecambe. The Spireites now have three games to clinch a play-off spot after Matt Blinkhorn's strike for the hosts cancelled out Steve Fletcher's 35th-minute opener and Richardson admits that they face an uphill task.
He said: "It is going to be tough but although we should have won this game we are still in there and have a chance.
"It was a disappointing result because we dominated the first half and should have been at least two goals up at half-time.
"The game should have been out of sight but we went on the back foot in the second half and allowed them to get back into it.
"It isn't the first time we have done that this season and that has cost us automatic promotion. It isn't good enough and we know that. We have to get tighter and get to the ball quicker and show some leadership on the pitch."
