Robins delighted to end poor run

Sun 13 Apr, 03:30 PM

Rotherham manager Mark Robins felt his team had "climbed a massive hill" by ending a dismal run of results with a 1-0 victory at Grimsby.Robins saw his side run out winners thanks to a 40th minute strike from Ryan Taylor that secured all three points in the mid-table clash.

Afterwards Robins was full of praise for his team who he admits gave the Millers fans something to cheer about at a difficult time for the club off the field.

Robins said: "I'm very happy with the lads, we've climbed a massive hill and it's great for us all. That's what Rotherham United is all about and I'm delighted for the fans who came and got behind us.

"It's now six weeks of uncertainty for us all with what's happening off the field, but it's up to the players and myself to keep concentrating on our football and we did that at Grimsby.

"We looked comfortable at the back and up front, and we looked like we enjoyed it. For the most part I thought we were good value for the win and the whole team worked their socks off."
