Carlisle manager John Ward insisted it was a privilege for his side to be involved in their 3-2 defeat at promotion rivals Leeds.Dougie Freedman scored twice as Leeds avenged the defeat they suffered at Brunton Park in November and boosted their play-off hopes in the process.
Jonny Howson was also on target for the hosts, Scott Dobie and Danny Graham scoring for the visitors.
Ward said: "It was a privilege for us to play a part in a match as good as that. If you bear in mind the difference in resources, we have come to Leeds and given them a fright.
"Even in the first half when Leeds were not at their best, I was wary that they would come on strong at some stage.
"Conceding a goal so early in the second half was bad from my point of view but we came back at them and showed how much character we have. Leeds are a good, strong side. No-one will relish playing them at this stage of the season."
