Berrett signs new Terriers deal

Huddersfield Town teenager James Berrett has signed a new two-year deal at the Galpharm Stadium after recently breaking into the first team.The 19-year-old midfielder has been rewarded by new manager Stan Ternent after breaking into the Terriers' first team at the turn of the year.

Berrett has made 12 starts and five substitute appearances for Huddersfield this time around after making his debut at Oldham at the end of last season.

Ternent has now secured all four players on his retained list, with goalkeeper Matt Glennon, defender Joe Skarz and striker Andy Booth signing new contracts last week.

Berrett and Town team-mate Michael Collins will join up with the Republic of Ireland Under-21s squad this week for the Intercontinental Cup in Malaysia.
