Defender Peter Clarke has urged his Southend team-mates to savour the pressure of Friday's play-off semi-final second leg at Doncaster. The Shrimpers travel to the Keepmoat Stadium billed by some as underdogs to progress to the final at Wembley on May 25 following a goalless draw between the sides in the first leg.
Either way, Clarke is determined to enjoy the occasion as Steve Tilson's men bid to rejoin the Championship at the first time of asking.
"You get to the situation we are involved in now and there probably is pressure on the game, but these are exactly the type of games we want to play in," Clarke told the club's official website.
"There is pressure in this situation, but it is an exciting time as well.
"We believe that we can go to Doncaster and win the game. It would be lovely to play at the new Wembley and to get back into the Championship has been the aim of the players, staff, the chairman and the fans ever since the start of the season."
