David Healy was honoured by the Northern Ireland Football Writers Association at their annual dinner by being named Harp International Personality of the season.
The Fulham striker also received a special award from the FWA after scoring a record 13 goals in the Euro 2008 qualifying campaign.
Healy's astonishing spree helped Northern Ireland finish a creditable third in their group, just missing out on a place at this summer's finals.
Other awards:
Press Eye Footballer of the Year: Michael Gault (Linfield).
NIFWA Hall of Fame (first inductee, for service to football in Northern Ireland): Roy Coyle.
Sunday World Manager of the Year: David Jeffrey (Linfield).
Harp Young Player of the Year: Aaron Smyth (Cliftonville).
Harp Merit Award: Fred Magee (H&W Welders).
