CSKA Sofia midfielder Shaloze Udoji has been handed a six-match ban by the Bulgarian Football Union for punching an opponent.

The Nigerian-born 22-year-old was sent off after he hit Levski Sofia defender Veselin Minev midway through the second half of CSKA's 2-0 loss to their bitter city rivals on Saturday.

Udoji, who obtained Bulgarian citizenship in 2006, was also fined £1,840 for offensive behaviour towards match officials according to the referee's report.

Chasing a 32nd domestic league title, CSKA lead the standings on 62 points from 26 matches with Levski just a point behind in second.
