Ligue 1 - Fabio Santos leaves Lyon

Fabio Santos has left Lyon after both parties agreed to end the Brazilian midfielder's contract following a row with coach Claude Puel.

"Lyon and Fabio Santos have decided to end, with immediate effect, the contract that was binding them until June 30, 2010," Lyon said.

The Brazilian, who joined Lyon from Cruzeiro in 2006, had a violent argument with Puel at half-time in the club's 2-0 defeat at Valenciennes on May 2.
