"We are just thinking about securing our place in the next Champions League. We are not dreaming of anything else," Sidney Govou told Canal Plus.

Makoun headed the opening goal when Ederson flicked on a Juninho cross with his head in the seventh minute.

The Cameroon midfielder doubled his tally from close range after a swift counter-attack just past the half hour.

Mounier made it 3-0 with a header from a Kim Kallstrom corner kick in the second half.

Promoted Nantes, who posed no danger for Lyon, look resigned to a second relegation in three years.
