Hereford have been handed a plum tie in the Carling Cup first round after being drawn away to Championship outfit Crystal Palace.The Bulls were promoted from League Two in May and will face the Eagles for the first time since 1976, when the sides drew 1-1 in the old third division.
The tie will be played in the week commencing August 11.
