Middlesbrough target Didier Digard has admitted he does not yet know whether or not he will join the club this summer. The 21-year-old Paris St Germain midfielder has been on Teesside this week to discuss a prospective move.
However, as the club works to thrash out a deal, he insists he has not completed a medical and that his future remains up in the air.
Digard told Le Parisien: "I am staying with a friend, but I have not passed any medical.
"I do not know yet if I will go to Middlesbrough. We will see."
It is understood Boro have offered around £4million for a player in whom manager Gareth Southgate has admitted his interest.
However, reports in France suggest the Parisian club are looking for another £1million before the will consider allowing the former Le Havre youngster to leave.
That would represent a significant profit on a player for whom they paid 2.5million Euros - around £2million - last summer.
Boro remain hopeful of reaching an agreement with PSG and are looking to push the transfer through within days with Newcastle, Sunderland and Portsmouth also having been linked with Digard.
The midfielder missed much of last season with a thigh injury which limited him to just 13 starts, although that problem has now cleared up.
