Manager Iain Dowie has warned his QPR players they will need to be on top of their game to see off Swindon in the Carling Cup.Rangers face the Robins in the first round and Dowie says it is crucial not to underestimate their League One opponents.

"A cup run is vitally important for this football club," he told the club's official website. "I've had fairly decent success in this competition over the last few years and I want to continue that with QPR.

"I'd have preferred a home tie - everyone would at this stage of the competition - but you take what you get and we need to go there and give a professional account of ourselves.

"It won't be easy for us, but I'm really looking forward to it."
