Jimmy Mullen's Walsall side will face League Two outfit Darlington at the Banks's Stadium in the first round of the Carling Cup.The Saddlers fell at the first hurdle last season as they lost 2-0 away at Swansea.
Darlington's visit will be the first meeting between the two sides in the competition and the tie will take place in the week commencing August 11.
