Swindon will face Championship club QPR at the County Ground after the draw for the first round of the Carling Cup was made on Friday.It is the fourth successive season that Swindon have been handed a home draw in the opening round of the competition, but the Robins have lost the previous three.
A 2-0 defeat to Charlton saw the Wiltshire club go out of the competition last season.
The tie against Rangers will be played in the week commencing August 11.
