Damien Duff's advisor has dismissed reports linking the Newcastle winger with a move to Barclays Premier League newcomers Burnley.
Speculation in Duff's native Ireland has this week suggested that the Clarets, Aston Villa and Wolves are going head-to-head in the chase to sign the former Blackburn favourite.
But Duff's long-term advisor Pat Devlin insists there is no truth in the reports of interest from Burnley or any other club.
"No, he's still under contract at Newcastle and that would be his first port of call," Devlin told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"I think someone's winding up the Burnley fans because he's a Blackburn fella!"

We don't want no Bast**ds reject, keep him not interested. Only one claret and blue in the Premiership lads, BURNLEY FOOTBALL CLUB!!! THE "CLARETS" Come on Burnley!! F**kin bast**rds reject my arse, jesus christ!!!!!!!
well im on here cuz all your rubbish players keep getting linked with the villa a team that finished 6th by the way. duff may aswell join us, he as already got on the score sheet for us!!!! you have taken 57 points from us in the prem lets see how many you take off us next season. we sent you down get over it! "haway the lads" but your lads could not win away! (avfc/safc)
Get a lot of the overpaid @#$% off the wage bill and offer Bassong the captain's arm band and 10 times his current wage to stay. To do any of that though we actually need someone running the club.
comment 16, could be Sunderland v Leeds aswell.
cunch a bunts!!!
Re comment 15 - Nah, won't happen. I fancy Leeds will get promoted next season. Could be NUFC v Pools though!

Why do midlands fans always say up the villa or up the blues or up the baggies, whats this up, is this some kind of gay talk the rest of the country dont understand?
upthevilla
what are you doing here anyway; this is an NUFC story!
You aren't even the biggest club in the Midlands; got the worst fans though . . . . . simply despicable!
Can't wait 'til next season when you won't even finish in the Top-8, and your manager leaves.
dont forget now,
rush out and buy your season ticket, its going to be an exciting season for nufc,a new beggining.new owners, new manager, new team, new supporters its looking good, haway the lads.
hey why are newcastle still in the premier league section on yahoo, duff should go after all he did send you down! why would any of your big players stay when its the world cup next summer, because international sides dont usually pick players from the lower leagues. martins only wants to stay cause he gets paid loads for not doing his job! and scoring goals.
The "Chelsea Bummers" got the best out of him and now he is only a shadow of his former self, cant run, tackle, pass, head, score, cross, dribble, a bit like that other "Donkey" Ameobi, we should take 2 mill for this cheat and run, hes blantently finished!
safcalsftm
Au contraire!
Do you think new owners will need to sell; you are talking out of your backside man!
New owners (unlike the idiot ashley) will be investing, what's the point in buying a club only to have to orchestrate a 'firesale' in order to keep the wolf from the door - you really are talking absolute drivel . . . . . even by your standards, your 'argument' just falls flat on its face!
Think about it man; your problem is that you are terrified in case there is a renaissance at NUFC thus bringing a crushing end to your very, very short 'moment'!
impact man fcukoff
.....you are getting so so repetitive & boring about administration
heyup englishman 2,all the predictions are coming true, dont be surprised if admin lurking round the corner.ganny.
Expect whoever takes over (end of July looks like being the earliest this might happen) to look at off-loading all players on more the 25 grand a week, that's gonna be one helluva "Fire Sale", in terms of number of players affected.
he can do a job....what on mega bucks u r kiddin arnt you!!!!
Three weeks untill pre-season training and absolutely nothing is happening at the Toon.
If they stick with the players they`ve got, I`m dreading the next season.
