Tyler Farrar won the prologue at the Delta Tour Zeeland in Hulst.

The American from the Garmin team was 2.57 seconds quicker than the Dutch pair of Michiel Elijzen (Silence-Lotto) and Rick Flens (Rabobank) over the 2.9km course.

British veteran Jeremy Hunt was fifth for Cervelo.

Saturday's opening road stage will take the riders from Middelburg to Goes before the final stage around Terneuzen.
