Scott Dann has paid tribute to Coventry following his big-money move to rivals Birmingham.
The Blues have paid an undisclosed fee, believed to be a club-record £3.5million, for the 22-year-old after beating midlands rivals Wolves to his signature.
Dann, an England Under-21 international, began his career with Walsall before joining Coventry in January last year.
He made 49 appearances for the Sky Blues, scoring four goals including the winner against Birmingham at the Ricoh Arena last season.
Dann told Coventry's official website: "I'm extremely grateful to Coventry City for giving me the chance to play at the top level and the past 18 months at the club have been extremely enjoyable for me.
"I take with me some great memories but felt that, personally, this was the best move for me and an opportunity I felt I could not pass up."
