Former Motherwell defender Luc Nijholt is dreaming of a return to Fir Park as the club's new manager.
The 47-year-old Dutchman, who became popular with the 'Well fans during his time in Lanarkshire in the early 1990s, is in the frame to replace Mark McGhee who departed for Aberdeen on Friday.
Nijholt, who helped Co Adriaanse win the Austria title with Red Bull Salzburg, told the Scottish Daily Express: "I have always said that if the timing was right I would love to go back and manage Motherwell."
He added: "I won a Scottish Cup there and had a great time and the club will always have a very special place in my heart.
"I still look out for Well's results and have a lot of friends in Scotland so the manager's job would be a dream for me.
"I have picked up a lot of experience in Holland and working with Co Adriaanse, who is a top coach, and I definitely want to go in to management again in my own right.
"If that was at Motherwell it would be a dream come true for me, especially as the club are also in Europe next season."

i agree. he's stated for a long time that he'd love to manage the club so he'd be more loyal than mcghee who constantly whined on about celtic job.
comming from a motherwell fan i would love to see nijholt given the chance to manage motherwell as he has always had the desire to manage motherwell and with is coaching experience he has gained and effection for the club we could do alot worse than him with his contacts in europe it could work out well...........marc well fan
