Sun 13 Jul, 11:45 AM

Steed Malbranque's agent claims Sunderland boss Roy Keane has shown an interest in signing the £4million-rated Spurs midfielder this summer.Keane is looking to improve his squad during the summer after keeping the club in the Premier League last season.

He has been linked with a £4million bid for Malbranque, who has spent the past two years at White Hart Lane.

According to the Frenchman's agent Frederic Dobraje, the Black Cats have asked about the 28-year-old's situation.

Dobraje told the News of the World: "Sunderland are the only team to have been in touch about Steed.

"No other club, including Aston Villa, has made contact."

Malbranque joined Spurs from Fulham in 2006 and has scored 12 goals in 96 appearances during his time in North London.
