Franck Ribery's transfer from Bayern Munich could be back on after team coach Louis Van Gaal admitted the midfielder could leave the German giants.

Bayern have repeatedly knocked back approaches from Real Madrid and Barcelona for the 26-year-old Frenchman, but with the player eligible to leave next summer under the Webster ruling the German side could opt to cash in now.

"Franck has an important role to play in this team, but in the world of football, you never know what is possible," said Van Gaal.

"We have already seen what happened with Cristiano Ronaldo."

Spanish newspaper AS reported that, under the terms of the Webster ruling, Ribery could walk away from Bayern next summer for a compensation payment of between 16 and 22 millions euros.

Current offers from Real Madrid and Barcelona are worth around four times that amount at 80 million euros.

  2. He should makes his decision fast. if he doesnt like to play in Bayern, the board should let him go , Bayern is too Big for every player. I like him to stay if he really wants to stay else I'd prefer to sell him now and get Robben, Vandervaart and Rene Adler and also sell Rensing , ottle and Lell

  3. I agree with you comment three, why not get Sniejer or Robben + some cash? I'm sure it could be of use to sign good players like they already did [Gomez and Pranjic].

  5. Let go. Bag 80m euros. It might hurt in the first half season but it will end up with a better team with that amount money to spend.
