Liang wins first pro title in Beijing

China's Liang Wenbo won the Beijing International Challenge after taking the last three frames in a 7-6 victory over Stephen Maguire.

The 22-year-old sensation picked up a cheque for £50,000 for winning what was the first professional title of his career, although it was not a ranking event.

Liang was in impressive form throughout the competition, winning his group before destroying Mark Allen 5-1 in the semi-final.

The Chinese will start the 2009/10 season ranked 27th in the world while Maguire will again be ranked second.
