Surrey batted out against Kent to complete a hat-trick of draws in the LV County Championship Division Two.
With Kent having completed a massive 620 for seven in response to the Brown Caps' first innings 386, it was the best result possible for the hosts at The Brit Oval.
James Tredwell took two quick wickets, including dangerman Mark Ramprakash, to give the away side hope but skipper Mark Butcher (60no) knuckled down with Usman Afzaal (24no) to see his side home safe.
On day two at Cheltenham, Derbyshire moved into a dominant position over Gloucestershire.
With a par 326 on the board, they rolled over the opposition for only 164, with Alex Gidman's 55 the only score of note as seven Gloucestershire players fell for single-figure scores.
Derbyshire then moved to 126 for three, 242 runs ahead, with South African Wayne Madsen (46no) going well.
