John Ward admitted "it can't get better than this" after Carlisle made it two wins out of two with a 1-0 Carling Cup win at Shrewsbury.The Cumbrians, who won their opening fixture 3-2 at Bristol Rovers, grabbed the winner in the 41st minute with a fine free-kick from Pat Murphy.

Ward said: "The opening fixtures were tough but two wins and four goals, it can't be better than that.

"We fought hard and defended well and we had to because Shrewsbury are a good side.

"But I was pleased with our determination and fight, we played some good football and now after two away games we must repeat it in front of our home fans on Saturday."
