Former West Brom boss Gary Megson is expected to be confirmed as the new Leicester manager at the Walkers Stadium on Thursday afternoon.The Championship side have called a 1pm press conference and Megson, who also had a spell in charge of Nottingham Forest, is believed to have beaten the likes of Peter Reid to the post.

Megson, 48, has been out of work since leaving Forest in February 2006 and seems set to replace Martin Allen as the Walkers Stadium helm.

Allen left Leicester on August 29 after a difference of opinion with chairman Milan Mandaric.
