Glasgow Warriors held off Llanelli Scarlets to make it two wins out of two in the Magners League season so far.
Rob Dewey opened the scoring with a try for the hosts on 29 minutes that was converted by Parks.
But Daniel Evans went over the line just three minutes later for the Scarlets, and though Rhys Priestland missed the conversion his penalty goal on the stroke of half-time gave the visitors the lead at the break.
In a tough-fought second period, however, the difference between the teams proved to be the boot of Parks, as the Australian-born Scotland international notched three penalties.
The Welsh side added just one more penalty, giving the Warriors a perfect start to their season so far.
