Huddersfield boss Lee Clark felt a draw was the right result after a goalless encounter with Brentford at the Galpharm Stadium.
The Bees restricted Town to long-range efforts until a frantic spell in the closing stages.
Clark said: "We had chances but I don't think either side deserved to win. We were not at our best and that's down to how Brentford played."
Huddersfield have scored 17 goals in their previous six games, including 12 at home, to top the football league scoring chart.
But Brentford stifled them, and Clark said: "Every team that comes here is likely to play that way because they know what we are about and want to stop us scoring.
"I've said before we'll have to grind results out. Not every game is going to be full of goals."
