Walsall boss Chris Hutchings urged his side to build on their thrilling 3-2 victory at Tranmere.
Chris Shuker put Tranmere in front, but goals from Darren Byfield and Troy Deeney turned the game on its head.
Alan Mahon levelled for the home side but Deeney struck late on to give the visitors all three points
Hutchings said: "It was a hard-fought win and it`s nice to get the three points. We`ve been criticised for not scoring goals but we got three in this game.
"It was a good time for us to score the first just before half-time. Had Tranmere stayed ahead it might have been a different outcome.
"We`ve got to push on from here. We know we can do better. We want consistency in our performances."
