Chesterfield manager John Sheridan admitted he is ready to ring the changes following a 2-1 defeat at Dagenham & Redbridge.
The Daggers were full value for their victory and took the lead after 25 minutes when centre-back Will Antwi rose highest to head past Tommy Lee for his first goal for the club.
Early in the second half Paul Benson took advantage of Kevin Austin's weak header to fire home a stunning volley to double Dagenham's lead before Chesterfield pulled one back in the closing stages through Donal McDermott, on loan from Man City, who beat Tony Roberts at his near post from 18 yards.
"I've been here three or four months and I think I know the players now," said Sheridan. "I told them as a team that I'm going to have to make some harsh decisions. I want to bring my own team in, my own players and be judged on my team.
"I've identified areas and know what I want to do, so now I will tell people they have to find another club. That's part and parcel of football.
"In the first half we looked quite bright, but the two goals we conceded were a joke and we didn't come out after the break and try to get back into it. The fighting characters only came through in the last 10 minutes."
