The Pittsburgh Penguins recorded their fourth successive road win with a 4-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators.

Tyler Kennedy scored twice in the second period to help the Stanley Cup champions improve to 5-1-0 and snap the Senators' (3-2-0) three-game winning streak.

High-scoring pair Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin were held without a point but the Penguins still generated enough offense to beat Sens' netminder Pascal Leclaire.

"(Kennedy) is playing great for us and that whole line has really been great," Crosby said after being held without a point for the third time in four games.

"You could see the chemistry kind of start last season. We really pride ourselves on our depth and having everyone contribute."

Ottawa took a 1-0 lead when Milan Michalek put in a wrister 15:59 into the first period. It was Michalek's first goal for Ottawa since being acquired in a trade with the San Jose Sharks.

The Senators' lead did not last long however, Pittsburgh's Bill Guerin making it 1-1 on a snap shot less than a minute later.

Kennedy scored the first of his two goals 6:16 into the second period when his shot ricocheted off an Ottawa defender and into the goal past Leclaire. He put the Pens 3-1 up in the final minutes of the period.

Jordan Staal scored the final goal, his third of the year, at 9:54 in the third period and Pittsburgh goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury made 30 saves.

"They're riding high, and you get those bounces when you're going that way," said the Senators' Jason Spezza. "They're a good team."
