Walsall have sacked winger Ishmel Demontagnac after he was arrested at the weekend.
The 20-year-old, who was sent off in his final game for the club on Saturday, was released without charge after his arrest on suspicion of a breach of the peace on Sunday morning.
A club statement said Demontagnac's contract was terminated "as a result of a series of serious breaches of club discipline".
The former England Under-19 international received a red card in Saturday's FA Cup defeat to Scunthorpe for an off-the-ball incident just eight minutes after coming on.
After the game, and prior to Demontagnac's arrest, Walsall manager Jimmy Mullen said: "I hold my hands up and I say 'well there's the enigma that I've been trying to tell people about'.
"As I've said before, I'm not the only manager that has tried to put him right. Five people have tried to put him right beforehand and that for me, for whatever reason, is unacceptable."

As above....your a @#$% trying to sell your wares free on yahoo. Do one bint.
This seems to me like the straw that broke the camels back. Clearly they just wanted an excuse to get rid of him
No, read the artical again, he has been sacked because he was sent off on Saturday whatever happened on Sunday morning innocent or not or whether the police did not have enough evidence to proceed has nothing to do with him getting sacked.
If he was released without charge then presumably he is innocent
