Premier League - Kaka, Robinho come to Arsenal

Eurosport - Thu, 13 Nov 16:22:00 2008

Arsenal's Emirates Stadium will host Brazil's international friendly against World Cup-winners Italy on February 10.

2007 Brazil Kaka Robinho Ronaldinho - 0

It will be the fourth time Brazil will play at Arsenal since September 2006, following games against Argentina, Portugal and Sweden.

National coach Dunga has adopted London as a second home for friendlies, as most of his squad is based in Europe and matches in England ease the players' travelling burden.

It will allow fans to see stars such as Kaka (pictured left), Robinho (middle), Ronaldinho (right), Andrea Pirlo, Gennaro Gattuso and Fabio Cannavaro, along with former Gunner Gilberto Silva.

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood said: "Brazil and Italy both have proud and very successful football histories and we are looking forward to welcoming the teams and many Brazilian and Italian supporters to Emirates Stadium in February.

"Some of the world's finest footballers will be on display and we are all very excited at what is sure to be a thrilling contest."

  13. Arsenal Dont need the likes of kaka and robinio for success, its simply experence of younger players at arsenal that is not making them acheive there target for trophies amd injury of Equado and Van Persie havn't helped over the last seasons, it was wrong to let matthew flamini go to Ac Milan, Arsenal adapted and again everyone thought that arsenal were doomed when theiry henry left but they managed and also adapted and went on without him, their football is great and that football will turn into trophies as the team gets stronger and more experenced.Arsene likes to devolop there team from youth and the Arsenal board wont pay 30 million for 1 player

  15. I cant beleive some people on here! I'm a massive Liverpool fan (ex season ticket holder) and have been lucky enough to travel to games across Europe, the Emirates is one of the best grounds I've been to by a long way. NO QUESTION!! I've seen some of the best footballers in the world play, having the world champions and brazil playing here is brilliant for fans to be able to watch amazing players in the flesh! Real football fans who go to games will tell you there is nothing better than seeing a superb game when your in the stands, its what its all about!!! Well done Arsenal for securing this games! It can only be good for the game!

  16. Two points:
The Emirates is for a fact the best ground compared to any other grounds in the UK (take a medal gunners' groundsmen) - no question. Second point, don't bother commenting unless you have some grip on the English language - YOU JUST LOOK STUPID AN NO ONE TAKES YOU SERIOUSLY! (I refer to Manchester United, Liverpool an Chelsea' fans in particular.......
