Cardiff midfielder and joint-top goalscorer Peter Whittingham is hopeful he will be back in action for the Bluebirds' next match.
Due to the international break, City are not playing until November 21 when they visit Barnsley.
And Whittingham, who has been out since picking up a knee injury against Nottingham Forest on November 1, is confident of being back to full fitness.
He told the official website: "The physios will look at me on Monday and decide whether I can go back to full training the next day. I'm hoping against hope the answer is yes.
"I was disappointed to miss the Swansea match, but the international break this weekend has given me a bit of time to get over the injury.
"If we had been playing a match this week, I wouldn't have been running, and I wouldn't have made the squad."
