Tinning wins Dubai farewell
Denmark’s Iben Tinning shot a final round 69 to win the Dubai Ladies Masters in her final event on the Ladies European Tour.†
She finished two strokes ahead of Sweden’s Anna Nordqvist with overnight co-leader Melissa Reid a stroke further back in third.
Reid and Tinning were level at the turn but the Dane birdied 10 and 11 and went to the last one ahead after bogeying 15.
But Derbyshire’s Reid found trouble off the final tee as 36-year-old Tinning took the first prize of €75,000.
"I still can't believe I won and it's just amazing. I really tried to keep strong out there and it was tough sometimes but I cannot believe this," said Tinning who finished with an 11-under par total of 277.
"I really didn't think I had it in the bag until I got to 18."
Lee-Anne Pace held off England’s Laura Davies to become the first South African to top the money list.
